Overview: The Sony a7R IIIA combines very high resolution with fast performance and strong video features in a single full-frame mirrorless body. Its 42.4-megapixel back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS sensor partners with the BIONZ X image processor and a high-speed front-end LSI to deliver detailed 14-bit stills, low noise, and responsive operation — plus internal UHD 4K recording using the full width of the sensor. Imaging and performance details: The back-illuminated sensor uses a gapless on-chip lens design, anti-reflection coating, and omits an optical low-pass filter to maximize light gathering and fine detail. A copper wiring layer increases data transmission speed, enabling 14-bit, high-resolution 42.4-megapixel captures with a native sensitivity range of ISO 100-32000 (expandable to ISO 50-102400). The BIONZ X processor together with the front-end LSI provides faster processing and supports up to a 15-stop dynamic range at low sensitivities. Continuous shooting is possible at up to 10 fps with full-time AF/AE for as many as 76 consecutive frames.
