The Sony a6700 pairs a 26MP APS-C Exmor R CMOS sensor with the BIONZ XR processor (the same engine introduced in the FX30 Digital Cinema Camera) to deliver high-resolution stills and advanced video performance. It records 10-bit UHD 4K footage at rates up to 120 fps and can shoot continuous stills at up to 11 fps with AF and AE, capturing as many as 59 compressed raw still images in a burst. Slow & Quick (S&Q) mode gives precise creative control over speed: select 4K frame rates between 1–120 fps or Full HD between 1–240 fps (format dependent) to slow down fast motion or accelerate slow action. An onboard AI Processing Unit detects and follows subjects during recording, automatically croping to keep the subject prominently framed; tracking position, speed, and sensitivity can be adjusted by touch — all at the touch of a finger.
