Compact and versatile, the Sony a6400 is an APS-C mirrorless camera built for both stills and video. Its 24.2MP Exmor CMOS sensor delivers detailed images with low noise and broad tonal range, paired with the BIONZ X image processor for responsive performance. Native sensitivity spans ISO 100–32000 and can be expanded to ISO 102400 for very low-light shooting. The sensor’s design—featuring thin copper wiring, enhanced circuit processing, and an improved front-end LSI—boosts light gathering, lowers noise, and speeds readout to benefit high-quality video capture. Autofocus is fast and accurate, and the camera supports continuous shooting at up to 11 fps with AF and AE. For silent operation the a6400 can shoot up to 8 fps using the electronic shutter. It also outputs 14-bit RAW files to preserve an extensive tonal and color range for post-processing.
