Solido S1804907 Red 1:18 Shelby Cobra 427 sku-505092876

Solido S1804907, sku-505092876, is a Red 1:18 Shelby Cobra 427 MkII S/C model in Play Vehicles & Toy Cars. The listing title calls the 1965 model a Silver Metallic Custom; the source description also calls it Blue Metallic. Carroll Shelby, a Texan pilot, stopped flying in 1960 at age 37 because of health concerns and pursued an American sports car to compete with Ferrari and Porsche.

He used a chassis from English manufacturer AC Bristol with a Ford V8. The lighter Cobra raced against heavier Corvettes in the United States. The 427 launched in 1965 with a redesigned chassis, wider tires, enlarged wings and a 427 inch cube engine, described as 7 liters and producing 410 horsepower.
