Its 4340 chrome-moly steel bar is described as 200 percent stronger than standard 1020 stainless steel and 92 percent stronger than 4130 chrome-moly, with a high strength-to-weight ratio, tensile strength and impact resistance for rough terrain and high torque.
Heavy-gauge elastic neoprene boots resist punctures, abrasion, oil and grease and are described as more flexible and protective than thermoplastic boots. Induction heat-treated bearings reduce friction and strengthen the CV joints; the boots contain high-temperature, high-load-bearing moly grease.
The CNC-machined axle has a dynamic drive angle of over 40 degrees and is manufactured under ISO/TS 16949 and ISO 9001 quality standards. Recommended for intense mudding, it arrives fully assembled with inboard and outboard universal CV joints for installation.
