Its 4340 chrome-moly steel is stated to be 200 percent stronger than standard 1020 stainless steel and 92 percent stronger than 4130 chrome-moly. The steel is described as having a high strength-to-weight ratio, tensile strength and impact resistance for rough terrain.
Heavy-gauge neoprene CV boots resist punctures, abrasion, oil and grease; they are more flexible and offer more environmental protection than thermoplastic boots. Induction heat-treated bearings reduce friction, while high-temperature, high-load-bearing moly grease supports CV-joint life.
