The Shure 98H/C is a Black miniature supercardioid condenser microphone available for Pre-order as sku-48850868, UPC 042406083379. The Beta 98 H/C has transformerless preamplifier circuitry, a gooseneck mount and a 3 m (10 ft) cable with an attached XLR preamplifier.

Its pickup pattern rejects unwanted noise and provides gain before feedback; its maximum sound pressure level suits brass, woodwind and percussion. The related WB98 H/C version has a 1.6 m (5.3ft) cable ending in a 4-pin mini-connector for a wireless bodypack transmitter. RPM108 cardioid and RPM110 supercardioid replacement cartridges are interchangeable.
