Open lateral grooves drain water, while a five-variable-pitch tread block sequence reduces road noise. Its 3D NANO grip technology combines a chain-end bonding system with fine silica to maintain elasticity during high-frequency braking.
Nexen provides a 50,000-mile treadwear warranty. Nexen also lists design awards: IDEA in 2014, G-Mark in 2013, Dot Design in 2012 and IF Design in 2011. Its Green Hive concept tire, with a replaceable tread block, was selected for the 2014 IDEA award from 2,000 entries.
