Nexen describes its 3D NANO grip technology as combining chain-end bonding with fine silica to maintain elasticity during high-frequency braking and increase contact area. The model has a 50,000-mile treadwear warranty. Nexen received IDEA (2014), G-Mark (2013), Dot Design (2012) and IF Design (2011) awards.
Its replaceable-tread-block Green Hive concept tire was selected for the 2014 IDEA award from 2,000 entries.
