Their symmetric variable-pitch tread pattern is designed to reduce road noise; independent tread blocks and wide circumferential grooves support handling and wet traction.

The all-season compound is designed for traction, tread life and reduced rolling resistance. Twin steel belts are reinforced with spirally wrapped nylon. Kumho offers sizes from 16 to 20 inches and a 60,000-mile warranty. Kumho Tire, headquartered in Gwangji, South Korea, is a subsidiary of Kumho Asiana Group, also the parent company of Asiana Airlines.

After more than 50 years, it is described as the world's 9th-largest tire manufacturer. Its replacement and original-equipment tires for passenger cars and SUVs include performance, touring, all-season, all-terrain and mud-terrain lines.
