Warm-season centipedegrass (Eremochloa ophiuroides) seed sold raw in a 20 Lbs. bag. Plant at a seed rate of 1 Lb. per 1000 Sq.ft. for establishing a dense, sod-forming lawn. This variety produces uniform growth with a coarse texture and a medium to light green color. Short upright stems reach about 3-5 inches in height and the grass spreads via stolons to fill in bare areas. Low-maintenance in nature, centipedegrass needs mowing only infrequently and performs best in sandy, acidic soils. It offers medium shade tolerance but has limited tolerance for heavy foot traffic. Recommended fertilizer: 15-0-15.
