This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard disk drive itself is not included. Because we stock a large quantity of PCBs, the item you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Designed for hard drive repair and data recovery use, this board should be verified for compatibility before installation. Many Seagate PCBs store unique configuration data in a ROM chip; that ROM (or its contents) must be moved or applied to the replacement board for the drive to function correctly. If possible, a local computer technician can transplant the chip for you. For purchases of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service that either transfers the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
