This replacement board is for Seagate ST980811AS (9S1132-506, 3.ALB, 100398688 N) SATA 2.5 drives and is intended for repair or data-recovery use. Because we carry a large inventory, the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Many Seagate PCBs contain unique information stored in the ROM/memory chip that is required for the drive to function correctly. That ROM data must be transferred to the replacement board (either by transplanting the ROM chip or by reprogramming the new PCB). If physical chip transfer is possible, a local computer technician can usually perform the procedure.
