This sale includes the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large quantity of PCBs, the exact board you receive may vary slightly from the photo. The circuit board is intended for use in data recovery and hard drive repair. To determine whether a replacement PCB will resolve your issue, follow our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs store unique calibration and configuration in the ROM "memory" chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip itself, or its data, must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be moved, a local computer professional should be able to perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service which covers either moving the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
