This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for hard drive repair or data recovery work. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement board will resolve your issue by consulting our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most drive PCBs contain unique configuration data stored in a ROM ("memory") chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to function correctly and must be transferred or reprogrammed onto the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be relocated, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that either moves the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the proper ROM data.
