This sale is for a hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — no hard drive included. We stock many PCB revisions, so the board you receive may differ slightly from the photos. These replacement PCBs are intended for hard drive repair and data recovery work. Before buying, confirm that a PCB swap will address your problem by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility via the Donor Matching Guide. Many hard drive PCBs contain drive-specific data stored in a ROM memory chip; that ROM data is required for proper operation. The ROM chip (or its contents) must be moved to or installed on the replacement board. If a physical transfer of the chip is possible, a local computer technician can usually perform the procedure. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
