This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive is not included. The PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo due to inventory variations. This replacement board is intended for use in data recovery or hard drive repair. To confirm a PCB swap will resolve your issue, follow our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many Seagate PCBs hold unique data in a ROM ("memory") chip that is required for proper drive operation; that ROM or its contents must be transferred or programmed onto the replacement board. When possible, a local computer technician can physically move the ROM chip to the new board. For orders of $60 or more we offer a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transplanting the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
