This listing is for a hard drive circuit board (PCB/logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we maintain a large inventory, the actual PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photograph. This PCB is intended for use in hard drive repair or data recovery work. Most Seagate PCBs store critical drive-specific data in a ROM chip; that ROM data must be present on the replacement board for the drive to operate correctly. If possible, the ROM chip can be physically transferred to the new board by a local technician, or the ROM contents can be reprogrammed.
