This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we stock these PCBs in large quantities, the board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. These replacement circuit boards are intended for HDD repair and data recovery tasks. Many PCBs contain drive-specific data stored on a ROM “memory” chip; that information is required for the drive to operate correctly. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board — a local computer technician can usually perform the chip transplant if the chip is movable.
