This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the hard drive and any other parts are not included. Because we stock a large quantity of these PCBs, the exact board you receive may look slightly different from the photo. The PCB is intended for use in data recovery and hard drive repair applications. Before purchasing, confirm a replacement board will address your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many Seagate PCBs store unique configuration data in a ROM “memory” chip; that data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip itself, or its contents, must be transferred to the replacement board. If you cannot perform the transfer, a local computer repair technician can usually move the chip for you. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service, which covers either transplanting the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
