This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the hard drive is not included. Most drive PCBs contain a unique ROM "memory" chip that stores information required for proper operation; that ROM or its data must be transferred to the replacement board or reprogrammed. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transfer.
