Listing is for the hard drive PCB / logic board ONLY. No hard drive is included. Due to a large stock of boards, the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This board is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery work. Most Seagate PCBs store unique information in a ROM (memory) chip that is required for the drive to function correctly. That ROM chip or its contents must be moved or copied to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically transferred, a local computer technician should be able to perform that task. For customers spending $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that either transfers the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprograms the new board with the correct ROM data.
