This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the drive itself is not included. Because we stock a large quantity of PCBs, the actual board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for use in data recovery or HDD repair projects. Before purchasing, confirm whether a replacement board will resolve your issue by following our hard drive Diagnostics Guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most PCBs store unique, drive-specific data in a ROM (memory) chip; that information is required for proper hard drive operation. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred or programmed onto the replacement board. If the chip can be relocated, a local computer professional can typically perform the transfer. For customers with orders of $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
