This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we stock large quantities, the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photograph. These replacement PCBs are supplied for hard drive repair or data recovery use. Before purchasing, confirm that replacing the PCB will address your problem by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs store unique information on a ROM "memory" chip that is required for normal operation; that ROM chip or its data must be moved or copied to the replacement board. If you cannot transfer the chip yourself, a local computer technician can usually perform the swap. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
