This sale is for the hard drive PCB / logic board only — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended for hard drive repair and data recovery projects, this replacement board can help restore functionality when matched correctly. Before purchasing, confirm that a PCB swap will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most Seagate 2.5" PCBs contain unique ROM ("memory") data that is required for the drive to operate; that ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service, which covers either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
