This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for use in hard drive repair and data recovery projects. Please verify that a replacement PCB will fix your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and confirm part compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most Seagate PCBs contain unique configuration data in a ROM (memory) chip; that ROM data must be present on the replacement board for the drive to operate correctly. If possible, the ROM chip can be physically transferred to the new board — a local computer technician can typically perform that task. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service that either transfers the ROM chip onto the replacement PCB or reprograms the new board with the correct ROM data.
