This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we carry a large inventory of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the picture. Intended for HDD repair and data recovery work, this replacement PCB can be used to attempt to restore drive functionality. Before purchasing, confirm that a PCB swap is likely to resolve your issue by consulting our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs store unique calibration and firmware data in a ROM "memory" chip; that information is required for the drive to operate correctly. The ROM chip itself or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant.
