This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the actual board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. These boards are supplied for hard drive repair and data recovery work. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most Seagate PCBs contain unique information stored in a ROM (memory) chip that is required for correct drive operation. That ROM data must be transferred to the replacement board — either by physically moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or by reprogramming the new board with the correct ROM contents. If you are not comfortable performing this, a local computer technician can usually handle the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service that will either transplant the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogram the replacement board with the proper ROM data.
