This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive is NOT included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended uses: data recovery and hard drive repair. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement PCB will fix your unit by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most of these PCBs contain a unique ROM "memory" chip holding essential drive data; that ROM information must be transferred to the replacement board for the drive to function properly. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transferring the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
