This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of these PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. The board is intended for HDD repair and data recovery tasks. Before purchasing, confirm compatibility by consulting our Donor Matching Guide and follow our hard drive diagnostics guide to determine whether a replacement PCB will resolve your issue. Most of these hard drive circuit boards contain unique information stored in the ROM "memory" chip; that data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred or reproduced on the replacement board. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that covers either transplanting the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
