This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. We stock a large number of PCBs, so the item you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This board is intended for HDD repair and data-recovery applications. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement PCB is the correct fix by consulting our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many hard drive PCBs store unique configuration data in a ROM ("memory") chip that is required for proper operation. That ROM or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board; if the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service, which covers either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
