This sale is for the hard drive printed circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we keep large quantities of PCBs in stock, the actual board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. These replacement PCBs are designed for hard drive repair and data recovery work. Before purchasing, confirm whether a PCB swap will resolve your problem by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most drive PCBs store unique configuration data in a ROM “memory” chip; that information is required for the drive to function correctly. You must transfer the ROM chip or its contents to the replacement board. If you cannot perform that operation, a local computer technician can usually transplant the chip for you. For orders of $60.00 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service that either relocates the original ROM chip to the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
