This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Many Seagate PCBs store unique configuration data in a ROM "memory" chip; that information is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip itself, or its stored data, must be transferred to the replacement board. If physical chip transfer is possible, a local computer technician can typically perform the procedure.
