Item is the hard drive PCB / logic board only — the hard drive is not included. Because we maintain a large stock, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This circuit board is intended for HDD repair and data recovery tasks. Before purchasing, confirm that replacing the PCB will resolve your issue by using our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most Seagate PCBs store unique configuration data in a ROM "memory" chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If you are not equipped to handle the transfer, a local computer technician can usually perform the chip transplant.
