Item is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the actual hard drive is not included. Because we stock a large quantity of PCBs, the unit you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for use in hard drive repair and data recovery tasks. To confirm a replacement board will resolve your problem, follow our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many hard drive PCBs store unique information in the ROM "memory" chip; that data is required for the drive to function correctly. You must transfer the ROM chip or its contents to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can typically perform the transfer.
