This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive included. Because we maintain a large inventory, the exact PCB you receive may vary slightly from the photo. Intended for use in HDD repair or data recovery tasks. Important: most drive PCBs contain unique data stored in a ROM "memory" chip; this information is required for proper drive operation. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For customers with orders of $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service that either moves the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
