This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — no hard drive is included. Because we keep a large inventory of PCBs, the exact board you receive may vary slightly from the photo. Intended for use in data recovery and drive repairs, this replacement board may restore functionality if it matches your drive. Most hard drive PCBs store unique configuration data in a ROM "memory" chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to operate correctly. The ROM chip itself, or its data, must be transferred to the replacement board. If chip transplanting is possible, a local computer technician should be able to perform the procedure. For purchases of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the new board with the correct ROM data.
