This sale is for a hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we stock a large number of boards, the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. These replacement boards are intended for data recovery and hard drive repair use. Before buying, confirm that a PCB swap will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most HDD PCBs store critical, unique information in the ROM memory chip; that data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board — if the chip can be moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we include complimentary adaptation service, which covers either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new board or reprogramming the replacement with the correct ROM data.
