This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we maintain a large inventory of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended for use in data recovery and hard drive repair. Most Seagate PCBs contain unique data stored in the ROM "memory" chip, and that information is required for the drive to function properly. You must transfer the ROM chip or its contents to the replacement board. If physically moving the chip is possible, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that either moves the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprograms the new board with the correct ROM data.
