This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we maintain a large inventory of PCBs, the exact board you receive may vary slightly from the photograph. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement PCB will address your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and checking compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Important technical note: most hard drive PCBs contain unique information stored in a ROM (memory) chip. That ROM data is required for the drive to operate correctly, so the ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can typically perform the transplant. For customer orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service — we will either move the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogram the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
