Product is the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — no hard drive is included. Because we carry a large quantity of PCBs, the exact board you receive may vary slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for use in hard drive repair and data recovery. Before purchasing, confirm a PCB swap will address your drive issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify part compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. NOTE: most hard drive PCBs store unique configuration in a ROM "memory" chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip itself, or its contents, must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service — either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
