This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large quantity of PCBs, the item you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended uses: hard drive repair and data recovery. To confirm a replacement PCB will resolve your issue, please follow our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Important: most hard drive PCBs hold unique information in the ROM "memory" chip that is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip itself or its data must be moved or copied to the replacement board. If physically transplanting the chip is possible, a local computer technician can usually perform the procedure. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transferring the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
