This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive is not included. Because we stock a large number of these PCBs, the specific board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. These circuit boards are intended for use in hard drive repair and data recovery applications. Before ordering, please consult our hard drive diagnostics guide to confirm that a replacement PCB will resolve your issue, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most of these PCBs include a unique ROM "memory" chip that stores essential data required for correct drive operation; that ROM (or its contents) must be transferred to the replacement board. If you cannot perform the transfer yourself, a local computer technician can usually move the chip. For purchases of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service: we will either transplant the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogram the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
