This sale is for a hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. These PCBs are intended for use in hard drive repair or data recovery. Because we stock a large quantity of boards, the actual PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and verifying compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs store unique drive-specific data in a ROM "memory" chip; that information is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board; if the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For customers who prefer not to do this themselves, we provide complimentary adaptation service on purchases of $60 or more — this includes either moving the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the board with the correct ROM data.
