This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — no hard drive or additional parts are included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. The board is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery tasks. Before purchasing, confirm that replacing the PCB is likely to resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many drive PCBs contain unique data stored in a ROM ("memory") chip that is required for the drive to function correctly. That ROM data must be transferred to the replacement board or the ROM chip moved to the new PCB. If you lack the tools or experience, a local computer technician can usually perform the chip transplant.
