This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no HDD is included. Because we keep a large inventory of PCBs, the actual board shipped may vary slightly from the photo. The PCB is intended for repair and data recovery work. Before ordering, use our hard drive diagnostics guide to confirm a replacement PCB will address your problem, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most PCBs contain unique drive information stored in a ROM ("memory") chip; that data is required for correct operation and must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM can be moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For purchases of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service which either transfers the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the proper ROM data.
