This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive included. We keep a large inventory of PCBs, so the exact board you receive may vary slightly from the photo. The board is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery use. Before buying, confirm that replacing the PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and checking compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs contain unique configuration data stored in a ROM (memory) chip; that ROM data is required for correct drive operation and must be moved or reprogrammed onto the replacement board. If you are not comfortable performing the transfer, a local computer technician can usually transplant the chip. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service, which includes either transferring the ROM chip to the new PCB or programming the new board with the correct ROM data.
