This sale is for the hard drive PCB / logic board ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of boards, the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. These circuit boards are intended for hard drive repair and data-recovery work. Before ordering, confirm that a replacement board will resolve your issue by using our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most Seagate 2.5" PCBs contain unique information stored in a ROM "memory" chip that is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip, or its data, must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For customers spending $60 or more we include complimentary adaptation service, which covers either relocating the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
