This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. We maintain a large stock of PCBs, so the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: HDD repair or data recovery. Before purchasing, confirm whether a replacement PCB will fix your drive by using our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide, and verify part compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most PCBs hold unique ROM “memory” data that is required for the drive to operate correctly; that ROM or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board or the new board must be reprogrammed with the correct ROM data. If you cannot perform the transfer yourself, a local computer technician can usually move the chip. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service which covers either transplanting the ROM chip onto the replacement PCB or reprogramming the new board with the proper ROM data.
