This sale is for the hard drive PCB / logic board only — the Seagate drive is not included. Because we have a large inventory of these boards, the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. The board is intended for use in hard drive repair or data recovery work. Before ordering, confirm a replacement board will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many Seagate 2.5" PCBs store unique calibration data in a ROM "memory" chip that is required for the drive to function correctly. That ROM or its data must be transferred to the replacement board; if the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the swap. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service, which includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
